| Scholarship Criteria |
The Tom Ladas Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who best exemplifies the criteria established by the Board of Directors of this foundation and exhibits traits that Tom himself would have praised. One student from each high school within the Parsippany school district will be awarded $3000. Click here to download the application or pick it from your guidance counselor. All applications must be returned to your guidance counselor no later than March 31, 2007.
The criteria from which you will be judged is as follows:
- Current GPA/SAT scores
- Participation in club programs/athletics (cultural arts, foreign language, environmental, forensic, drama, publications, student government, other). Indicate offices and awards held next to each activity listed
- Participation in community service activities such as hospital, youth organizations, scouts, recreational, 4-H, ect. Indicate offices held
- Receipt of any awards or honors or special program participation such as Honor Society, All-State, Girls/Boys State, Governor's Schools, Leadership Training Conference. Indicate offices held
- Your goals, ambitions, and future plans
- A written essay on one of the following (no less then 1 page):
a. Someone you are familiar with whom you admire and why?
b. Someone who has impacted your life on a personal level and why?
